Założenia (opisowo):

The aim of course is to give principal information dealing with influences of atmospheric environment on human organism.

Environmental impacts will be considered from the points of view of various forms of human’s activity (e.g. physiological function of an organism, health, effectiveness of recreation and climate therapy, work and living conditions)

The topics of particular lectures will be:

- Climatic stimuli (sources and intensity): physical, chemical and biological.

- Physiological reactions on atmospheric stimuli.

- Climate and health (meteoropatology, climate related mortality and morbidity).

- Therapeutic features of climate.

- Climate and recreation, tourism and sport.

- Influence of climate on work and living conditions.

- Bioclimate of urban areas.

Pełny opis:

The course will last 15 hours in the form of lectures/seminar. During the course will be presented various areas of human bioclimatology.

We will start from presentation of climatic stimuli (their sources and intensities): physical, chemical and biological. Very important will be discussion of physiological reactions in an human organism on atmospheric stimuli.

Climate and health (meteoropatology, climate related mortality and morbidity) will be the next step of our course. In many countries climate is considered as treatment source in health resorts, so therapeutic features of climate will be presented.

Several lectures will be dedicated the influence of climate on different areas of human life and activity, e.g. recreation, tourism and sport, work and living conditions. Special attention will be paid to bioclimate of urban areas.

Literatura:

Selected articles from scientific journals will be given during the course.

Efekty kształcenia:

The participants will know the principle influences of climate on humans.

Oral presentation and active participation in discussion.
