  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Short description:

The aim of the course is to allow students acquire knowledge in the field of techniques and methods of arranging educational events for adults.

Full description:

Classes have the form of collective participation in various educational events for adults. The student has the opportunity to learn about many different forms and techniques of arranging educational events both in the field of formal education (eg University of the Third Age, High School for adults), outside-formal (eg Civic Congress, Copernicus Science Center Symposium, travel lectures of the Austrian Institute and many more organised by museums, cultural and educational facilities, theatres, art galleries, travel cafeteria, etc.) as well as non-formal (eg educational space of the city). Classes are also the opportunity for students to learn through experience and acquire the knowledge needed for critical reflection related to forms of organising adult education, the place and role of the teacher and learning audience, the techniques of arranging educational events and the theoretical assumptions underlying each of the learning forms.

REMARKS: All educational events in which students take part are free.

2. Knows the methods appropriate for each of the adult education areas (formal, outside-formal and non-formal).

1. Is able to evaluate critically the advantages and disadvantages of various organisational solutions related to the arrangement of educational events for adults

2. Can indicate appropriate educational forms suitable for the selected area

3. Can independently plan the organisation of an educational event for adults, related to chosen issues and subjects.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Completion of classes is based on:

1. Presence and active participation

2. A written report, related to a critical reflection on the event selected by the student, including opinion and evaluation of the arrangement techniques used, ways of working with adults and proposed organisational solutions.
