During the seminar participants prepare master's theses on the subject of the archaeology of the Middle Ages and the Modern Era. |

During the seminar participants consecutively present and discuss their progress in preparing master’s theses. Majority of the works are based on archaeological finds obtained in the course of excavations conducted by the Institute. The master’s theses, being of diverse subject matter, confine themselves to the research scope of the archaeology of the Late Middle Ages and the Modern Era |

| Learning outcomes: |
Familiarity with diverse research problems in the scope of the archaeology of the Late Middle Ages and the Modern Era, a firm command of research methodology, including a use of various categories of historical sources, logical reasoning as well as academic writing skills. |

Assessment is based on students’ active participation in the seminar, grading of particular assignments, papers and master's theses |
