Short description:	(in Polish) Praktyczny kurs wymowy angielskiej dla przyszłych nauczycieli języka angielskiego obejmujący trzy kolejne semestry. Zajęcia odbywają sie raz w tygodniu i trwają 90 minut.
Full description:	(in Polish) Celem kursu jest rozbudzenie świadomości oraz wrażliwości fonetycznej studentów; przygotowanie ich do samodzielnej pracy nad własną wymową angielską; wspomaganie studentów w pozbywaniu się niekorzystnych cech własnej wymowy, a także w osiągnięciu oczekiwanej od nauczyciela języka angielskiego płynności i poprawności wymowy (w odniesieniu do wybranego za wzór/model akcentu); wprowadzenie studentów w podstawowy opisu fonetycznego języka angielskiego oraz zagadnień fonologicznych. Program zajęć (opis i trening) obejmuje zagadnienia artykulacji spółgłosek i samogłosek; wybrane zjawiska alofoniczne; fonetykę międzywyrazową; asymilacje oraz elizje; słabe i mocne formy wyrazów gramatycznych; przycisk wyrazowy, rytm oraz intonację; porównanie angielskiego i amerykańskiego standardu wymowy (SES oraz GA); wybrane zagadnienia z fonetyki języka polskiego; transkrypcję fonetyczną (fonemiczną, alofoniczną).

Learning outcomes:	KNOWLEDGE the student has a basic knowledge of the relevant concepts of phonetics and phonology, such as speechsound, minimal pair, syllable, diphthong, assimilation, reduced form etc., which has practical application in EFL teaching. H1P_W01 the student has a comprehensive knowledge of the pronunciation of English, which helps him/her speak intelligibly and which has practical application in EFL teaching; the student is able to recognize various types of pronunciation errors and can identify the sources of mispronunciations; the student has a basic knowledge of English-Polish phonological CA, which enables him/her to reduce/eradicate mispronunciations resulting from phonetic interference. H1P_W02 the student is familiar with the basic–both English and Polish–terminology/nomenclature of English phonetics and phonology. H1P_W03 SKILLS the student has the necessary level of self-study skills to use a variety of sources (pronunuciation dictionaries and new technologies–ICT) in order to master pronunciation, improve communication skills and develop his/her professional competences in EFL teaching. H1P_U02 H1A_U01 H1A_U03 H1A_U10 the student possesses pronunciation skills at CEFR level B2; these include academic English and the language of classroom communication/instruction, in accordance with the requirements specified in the standards of teaching.
