Emerging New Global Order

The COVID-19 pandemic is an important threshold in the history of humankind. Due to its development we can realize, that during the current globalization era we are standing in front of completely new challenges, like epidemics, climate change or environmental pollution, which will redefine our way of thinking. As in every crisis situation, also under this pandemic we have the winners and the losers, who will define a new, multipolar order. The aim of the lecture is to describe in detail current, dynamically changing international arena, with visible power shift from the Atlantic to the Asia - Pacific region.

The series of lectures is divided into three chapters with special focus on the following subjects: 1) relative demise of the Western (US) power; 2) a new dynamics, also institutional, in the Asia - Pacific region, starting from China emerging as a new global power. In a nutshell, it is stipulated here that the Western powers domination - so called values-based order, is already undermined, and the center of power is shifting quickly into East Asia region, once again after the pandemic, like it was after 2008 global economic crisis. It means, we are moving toward a new, multipolar order, which is also, to a certain extent, a multicultural as well.
