My areas of supervision include the following issues:

• Comparative analysis of political systems, political parties and party systems (The legal status of political parties and their financing. Party organization. The functions of parties and their place in the political system. Party models. Party programmes. Crisis of parties. Patterns of political conflict. Elections. Party system and its change)

• The political system of the European Union (The origins and development of EU political system. The executive and legislative branches of government. The dynamics of institutional changes and patterns of the political conflict in the EU. Theories and models of European integration. Political parties at the European level. Key controversies in the process of European integration. Elections and referenda

However, in principle I am happy to accept other topics for supervision.

Metody dydaktyczne: (tylko po angielsku)

The result of the seminar is to prepare a BA thesis. The student should learn the methods and techniques of political research and techniques for writing an academic text. In my seminar, this is achieved through lectures, group work and individual assignments.

Metody i kryteria oceniania: (tylko po angielsku)

Winter semester:

- Attendance,

- The formulation of the research topic

- Identification of the problem (theme), plan and macro-structure,

- Literature search and a correct formulation of a bibliography,

- Critical analysis of the research material

- Improving competences related to language, grammar and spelling, developing drafting and editing skills.

Spring semester:

Presenting the individual chapters in order of writing and regularly consulting their content

The supervisor assesses: systematic work, the clarity of the plan and narrative, the completeness, language and style, correct writing technique (bibliography, footnotes)

The “pass” mark for the whole seminar is only possible upon the completion and approval of the fully finished thesis.
