Short description:	Knot theory is a rapidly developing branch of mathematics with many applications in 3- and 4- dimensional topology, singularity theory and symplectic geometry.

Learning outcomes:	We expect that the students will deepen and broaden their knowledge of knot theory. This should result in an increased ability of students to conduct independent research on knot theory.
