The students get know, about physical phenomena which are applied in medical diagnosis and therapy methods which are currently used in Medicine and Biomedical Science. Program of the lecture. The lecture is divided into following sections: 1. x-ray Computed Tomography. 2. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). 3. Positron Emission Tomography (PET). 4. The Basics of Ultrasonography (USG). 5. The bioelectrical activity (specially electrical activity of heart and brain). 6. The Lasers in medicine. 7. Radioteraphy. 8. Fototeraphy. 9. Magnetoteraphy. 10. Magnetostimulation. Each section includes the information about physics phenomena applied in modern medical diagnosis and therapy. What kind of information or therapeutic effect one can get by means of the described method. The students will be provided also in basic information about construction of diagnosis and therapy equipment and side effect of using it. |
