ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 2.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Full description:

The Optics Seminar covers broadly understood atomic, molecular nad optical physics topics, including laser physics and quantum optics. It aims to present current research results from the international, national and local research community.

It is a co-organized by the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw and the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The seminar is offered to the broader AMO research community in Warsaw. It has been held on Thursday mornings term-time for more than half a century.

One of the goals of the seminar is to integrate the local broad AMO communityT. You are welcome to join for a friendly chat with tea or coffee before and/or after the seminar.
