ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 2.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.
Language: English
Short description:

Seminar about the latest advances in ultracold quantum physics and quantum chemistry.

Full description:

Weekly seminars are presented by the members and guests of research groups working on ultracold quantum physics, atomic and molecular physics, and quantum chemistry. The latest advances in research on ultracold collisions, chemical reactions, ultracold many- and few-body physics, precision measurements and quantum simulations with ultracold atoms and molecules, molecular electronic structure, quantum molecular dynamics, and related topics are presented. Speakers present their own research at an interesting level for specialists but approachable for students. Discussions are strongly encouraged.

Bibliography:

Research articles recommended by the speakers during the semester.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Grading is based on giving a seminar. Each student has to give one seminar per semester. Students are allowed up to two absences during the semester.
