Short description:

A specialization seminar for the radiogenomics master program.

Full description:

A specialization seminar. A course taught in English. The main goal of the class is to learn the necessary skills to make an interesting scientific presentation. Students will practice their speaking and presentation skills. We will talk about different types of software that can help with everyday work. There will be a final paper and a final presentation concerning each student's individual masters thesis research topic.

Scientific software necessary for creating presentations

Basic rules of preparing an interesting presentation

Appropriate grammar structures and phrases used in scientific and technical communication

Rules of writing a conference abstract and preparing a scientific poster

-WILL BE ABLE TO

Properly insert scientific citations into his presentation, manuscript, poster

Summarize his research topic in 3 minutes time

Present his research topic during 10 minute presentation

Use software to prepare plots and drawing for presentation

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

A final paper and presentation
