The classes are concentrated on:

- methodology of field and laboratory measurements and markings in groundwater (preparation of instruments and practical measurements and some marks);

- evaluation of the quality of hydrogeochemical data

- description of discussion concerning on the origin of composition of groundwater from different hydrogeochemical environments in the world

- description of hydrogeochemical conditions of selected hydrogeological structure in Poland (including description of hydrogeochemical background, discussion of the genesis of the hydrogeochemical anomalies, evaluation of water quality in terms of their suitability as a drinking water)

- conducting of geochemical modeling of groundwater (water speciation modeling, mass balance inverse modeling to quantify the reaction responsible for formation of water chemistry) and preparation the report with interpretation of modeling results

- familiarization and comparison of legal regulations concerning on requirements of groundwater used for different drinking purposes (drinking, bottled, therapeutic); comparison of Polish legislation with selected foreign regulations

- familiarization with different cartographic compilation of chemistry and quality of groundwater

- familiarization students with the theoretical basis of spectrometric method used in chemical laboratories at the Faculty of Geology;

- familiarization with the range of hydrochemical studies conducted on the Research Station of the Faculty of Geology.
