Short description:	Principles of Quaternary climatostratigraphy. Climatostratigraphic units and their relation to other stratigraphic units. Description of climatostratigraphic units of the Quaternary in Poland, Europe and the rest of the world.
Full description:	Lecture. Significance of palaeoclimatology in Quaternary stratigraphy. Historical approach to climatostratigraphic principles and methods. Cyclicity of climatic changes as the basis for climatostratigraphic units. Climatostratigraphic units and their relation to morphostratigraphic, lithostratigraphic, biostratigraphic, magnetostratigraphic and chronostratigraphic units. Regional time difference of climatostratigraphic units. Description of climatostratigraphic units of the Quaternary in Poland and their correlation with climatostratigraphic units in Europe and in the world.
