Short description:

The lecture presents the problem of surface and groundwater protection as one of the basic elements of inanimate nature.

Full description:

Water is the basic element of inanimate nature indispensable for the development of life on Earth, both in relation to nature, human beings, as well as particular geological and biological processes.

The current comprehension of nature "protection” is mainly linked with active or passive protection of animate nature. Protection of animate nature, animals, vegetation, or human beings should be coupled with protection of inanimate nature. Without this protection, the development of biological life on Earth would be impossible. Protection of waters, circulating in nature on every stage of the life cycle is one of the essential elements of modern protection of the natural environment.
