Short description: |
Seminar participants present the results of work related to the implementation of the topic, literature on the subject and a plan of work and activities necessary to prepare and defend the thesis. |
Full description: |
The program of the seminar provides presentation by each graduate student in the presence of the thesis supervisor: - foreign language references on topics related to the thesis problems, - characteristics of the content of references regarding the thesis topic, in particular the leading chapter of the work, - updated contents of the thesis, - plan related to the implementation of the topic and the manner and deadlines for their implementation. After each presentation an interactive conversation takes place. Its subject focuses on the presented merits and the manner and quality of presentation. |
Learning outcomes: |
The student is substantively and organizationally prepared for further chamber, field and laboratory work. Recognizes basic terms in a foreign language (English) in the field of environmental protection. Knows how to prepare and write a scientific work Presents in public the results of his own work demonstrating the ability to use various techniques. He uses specialist terminology in the field of environmental protection in Polish and English. Effectively communicates in speech and in writing with the public and specialists in various fields in the field of environmental protection. He improves his professional skills. Verifies and respects the views of other team members, especially subordinates. Indicates the strengths and weaknesses of your skills, attitudes and actions. Demonstrates a critical attitude towards plagiarism. He cares about the reliability and credibility of his scientific work. |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
The merits of the presentations, student’s involvement in the research and the method and quality of presentation shall be assessed. Acceptable number of absences from classes: three. |
