Short description:	Anatomy, evolution and mode of life of fossil vertebrates.
Full description:	At the laboratory part the students examine samples of vertebrate skeletal tissues, specimens of fossil and modern fishes and collections of tetrapods from the Museum of Evolution, corresponding to the contents of the lecture.

Learning outcomes:	Student recognises main vertebrate fossils from the collection and knows their systematic position. Recognises main skeletal tissues in thin sections.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	Acceptable absence: twice. Two written tests: recognising of vertebrate fossils, their systematic and stratigraphic positions; basic theoretical information.
