teaching methods applied: reading literature, critical discussion, doing exercises corresponding to the different stages of conducting qualitative research

Temat 1 – Planowanie badań jakościowych

• Specyfika badań jakościowych: metodologia badań jakościowych (jakościowe vs ilościowe); rodzaje badań jakościowych: IDI, FGI, badania etnograficzne, badania jakościowe przez internet

• Definicja problemu badawczego: na jakie pytania badawcze odpowiadają metody jakościowe, jakościowe badania naukowe a badania aplikacyjne, łączenie metod jakościowych z ilościowymi

• Budowanie schematu badawczego: wybór rodzaju metody badania, liczba wywiadów, liczba grup w schemacie badawczym

• Definicja kryteriów rekrutacyjnych/selekcyjnych

Temat 2 – Techniki projekcyjne i scenariusz wywiadu jakościowego

• Co to są techniki projekcyjne w kontekście badań jakościowych?

• Przykłady technik projekcyjnych

• Jak stosować techniki projekcyjne?

• Jak przygotować scenariusz do wywiadu jakościowego?

Temat 3 – Prowadzenie wywiadu jakościowego

• Umiejętności potrzebne przy prowadzeniu wywiadu jakościowego

• Rodzaje pytań

• Budowanie kontaktu z respondentami

• Rodzaje interwencji w przypadku „trudnych” respondentów

Temat 4 – Analiza i interpretacja wyników badań jakościowych

• Doświadczenie z prowadzeniem wywiadów, wstępne omówienie wyników

• Zasady analizy wyników badań jakościowych

• Interpretacja wyników badań jakościowych – jakie informacje można wyciągnąć z badań jakościowych, a jakich nie można

UW_01 – make use of knowledge from various fields of science, in particular the social sciences in order to creatively identify, formulate and innovatively solve complex problems or perform tasks of a research nature, and in particular to: define the purpose and object of scientific research in the field of the social sciences, formulate a research hypothesis, develop research methods, techniques and tools and apply them creatively, make inferences based on scientific findings

UW_02 – critically analysing and evaluating the results of scientific research in the field of the social sciences, expert and other creative work and their contribution to the advancement of knowledge.

Social competences: Is ready to:

KK_01 – critically evaluating achievements within a given scientific discipline in the field of the social sciences

KK_02 – critically assessing one's own contribution to the development of a scientific discipline

KK_03 – recognising the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive and practical problems within a specific discipline in the field of the social sciences

Due to the blocked form of the class, one absence from class is allowed.

principles for passing the classes and the subject (including resit session); Completion of one individual task, three tasks in groups and one presentation in class

methods for the verification of learning outcomes; Correct execution of homework: 1) planning the qualitative research (research design, recruitment/selection criteria); 2) preparation of a qualitative interview scenario; 3) conducting 2 interviews on the topic; 4) an essay (3000 characters). In addition, active participation in the course.
