The base of the economic development of cities is evolving. Nowadays, many cities are looking for new opportunities and paths of development in digital technologies and the activities of the creative sector. Technologies can help overcome development barriers, affect the quality of the city's functioning and promote the rational use of various resources. The situation is different in the case of the creative sector. In this case, a necessary condition for making the sector a leading sector of the city's economy is the presence of a creative class. The classes are intended to familiarize students with the concept of an innovative city and the conditions for the distinction of creative activities in the economy.
