Classes are aimed at discussing issues related to climate change in various time and spatial scales. By analyzing the causes and consequences of climate change, as well as comparing the projections of climate change, the student obtains information that allows to determine the impact of climate change. The lecture covers issues related to the assessment of expected climate changes on a global scale, as well as at the level of continents and regions, with particular emphasis on Europe, including Central Europe. The exercises are aimed at showing students possible ways of assessing climate change in various contexts and perspectives. The student's workload includes participation in the lecture (15 hours), exercises (15 hours), as well as own work - carrying out tasks during the classes and preparing to pass the lecture. |

Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Classes are graded on the basis of the results of the final test from the lecture and the final grade from the exercises. Completing the tutorials is a prerequisite for allowing the student to pass the lecture. The final grade for the subject is determined on the basis of the weighted average grade for the lecture (weight 70%) and the grade for exercises (weight 30%). Attendance at the exercises is obligatory. One unexcused absence is allowed. The total number of absences (excused and unexcused) may not exceed 3. Absence from classes does not release the student from the obligation to complete all exercises and make up for the delays on the assignments indicated by the lecturer. |
