  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Short description:

Computer Lab. The main aim of exercises is to acquire basic skills of gathering, processing, visualisation and transfer of geographic spatial information. Students obtain knowledge of fundamental models of spatial data and of application of GIS in selected fields of spatial data analysis. Examples of SDI are analysed .The range of software involves selected proprietary and open source software.

Full description:

Computer Lab. The main aim of exercises is to acquire basic skills of gathering, processing, visualisation and transfer of geographic spatial information. Excercises include issues: examples of vector data operations and transformations, database building and its querying, thematic map creation, structure of data in raster model, examples of raster data processing, delimiting of areas that fulfill predefined conditions, WebGIS elements, WMS and WFS servers use, creating grid data model with interpolation, 3D visualisation, analysis of selected elements of SDI, elements of webGIS.

 Selected GIS sofware is used (commercial and opensource)
