Short description:

Notion, subject and scope of discipline. Methods of research in IR. Precursors of theoretical thinking and origin of theory: methodological approaches, partial theories, theoretical conceptions and “great debates”. Foundations of IR theory: international perception, empirical and theoretical cognition, categories, and construction of paradigms. War and peace in international relations. Imperialism in IR. Cooperation in IR. Dynamic and effects of international relations development. Prognosis in IR.
