Prerequisites (description):	The conditions for the participation include basic knowledge in jurisprudence, polish contitutional law, public international law (in particular the law of international organizations) and the institutional law of the European Union. Of particular value will be knowledge about the history of legal land political ideas political ideas.

Short description:	The subject-matter of the course are the legal aspects of the polish Membership in the European Union, the "european" case-law of the Polish Constitutionl Court and the Mechanisms of functioning of polish executive, legislative and a judicative Power in the European Union.
Full description:	The course will centre around the question: Poland in the European Union. The lectures will focus in particular on the following issues: the place of national parliaments (Sejm and Senat) in the EU; the concepts of Good Governance in Poland, and the improvement/development of the legislative environment; multicentricity of the EU/ the accession of the EU to the European and its consequences for the the protection of the individual in the EU and the British and polish Protocol; the legal aspects of the polish Membership in the European Union, the "european" case-law of the Polish Constitutionl Court and the Mechanisms of functioning of polish executive, legislative and a judicative Power in the European Union.In particular, it focuses on reform projects associated with Polish constitutionalism reforms.

Learning outcomes:	After completion of the course a student shall: – be able to analyse legal Instruments and legal Position of the polish Membership in the European Union – recognize the "european" case-law of the Polish Constitutionl Court and case-law of the European Court of Justice – be able to explain mechanisms of functioning of polish executive, legislative and a judicative Power in the European Union
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	Checking the presence of students in class. Assessment activity during the discussion ending lecture. Rating optional (for the higher grade) of a written paper. The issue of work will be agreed with the student by the teacher. Work should be based on the current Polish and, if possible for the chosen topic - foreign literature, the case of Polish and European courts and the student's own thoughts, based on the substantive legal arguments
