  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Prerequisites (description):

The aim of the modular classes is to introduce students to problems of media education, and to obtain teaching competence of media education.

Short description:

During each modular course, students will learn variety of methods to use media in education and learn how to educate through media and about media. Students will supplement theoretical knowledge with practical skills of how to use media during their internship in arts and media institutions.

The module consists of the following items:

1. Methodology of media education

2. Painting as a medium

3. Art in Internet

4. Internship in arts and media institutions

The main thematic blocks are:

1. Media education in the theory and practice of teaching

2. Media competence

3. The importance of image in the shaping of individual and social consciousness

4. Digital images in comparison to traditional history of paintings.

5. Film Education

6. Multimedia packages, projects and educational portals

7. Art in Internet - educational proposals

Student has knowledge of the factual and methodological aspects of media education

Student knows the chosen method of stimulating activity and creativity in the audiovisual space

Student knows the ways of transferring knowledge about the media

Student explains what is net art, and lists ways to use the Internet in arts education.

Student sees the relationship between form and content of the image in the wider media education

skills:

Students can create and implement their own projects of classes concerning topics in the field of media education

Student is able to describe and evaluate the content of websites of the biggest cultural and educational institutions

Students can create teaching aids

Student is able to use various forms of work with children, youth and adults, using various means of expression in the design and implementation of work in media education.

Student is able to shape the media competences, teaching through media and about media.
