Short description:

The subject is made simultaneously with midterm internship in school.

The aim of the course is to prepare students for the role of the teacher-tutor in early education. Tasks which student realize and discussion in which they take part in the classes on Faculty should help student in developing the skills and practical knowledge, documenting and evaluating their own work and developing pedagogical reflection and creative attitude towards the situation of teaching in school.

Full description:

The classes, In particular, are designed to allow students to improve the skills of operating theoretical knowledge in practical actions by analyzing observations of children in elementary education, where the midterm internship takes place. According to assumption of this subject students should broaden their reflection and develop creative attitude towards teaching and educational situations experienced at school. The content of the course consists of a critical evaluation of materials collected during internship, enabling improvement of efficiency in planning, organizing and conducting daily and supplementary lessons, and school events. During the course, students make critical analysis and reflection over the course of internship, including:

1. Analyzing their observations of daily and supplementary lessons

2. Designing and evaluating lessons which are connected with the implementation of the project and other daily and supplementary lessons which they conduct on their own.

3. Discussing results of the diagnosis development of children with special educational needs and learn how to evaluate their knowledge, skills and behavior

4. Analyzing critical events, and designing ways of solving educational problems in the classroom

5. Discussing ways of organizing meetings and planning cooperation with parents and their own experience with it.
