Prerequisites (description):

Classes are designed for students of pedagogy with arts education and media education as specialization. The classes are an introduction to the issues associated with contemporary artistic activities in the field of visual arts.

Short description:

Contemporary art is an important partner for education in the reflection on the human being and the world, which is created by him. The constant presence of art in the public space - real and virtual – creatures the situation, where the art becomes a significant component of our everyday life. This situation requires from the teacher at least basic knowledge of the language of contemporary art.

Full description:

Classes are pedagogical introduction to contemporary art. During lessons the most important artistic activities, creators and works of art of the twentieth and twenty-first century will be presented. Students will become familiar with issues such as intervention, documentation, experiment in art, performance, happening, body art., land art, net art., relational art, art in public space and others. The activities of contemporary artists will be analyzed in a broader socio-cultural context.
