  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

Prerequisites (description):

The workshop is designed for the first year of supporting studies.

Short description:

The aim of the workshop is to acquire and develop skills in creative problem solving. The classes will help increase the efficiency in terms of social interaction and to develop intellectual traits associated with divergent thinking, such as fluency, flexibility and originality.

Full description:

Training includes: the creative thinking (abstraction, making associations, deductive and inductive reasoning, thinking metaphorically, transformations), decision-making and the use of various techniques to the process of solving problems. In addition, each class will begin with a short lecture concerning the following topics:

• the basic terms of the theory of problem-solving and decision-making (task, problem, problematic situation, the solution of the problem, the situation and problem of decision-making, decision-maker, the decision acceptable and optimal evaluation criteria decision);

• typologies and stages of problem solving;

• barriers and help factors in problem-solving;

• selected theories of creativity and creative problem solving;

• criteria for decision-making under uncertainty and decision heuristics;

• the effect of border and other decision-making factors.

• applies creative problem solving techniques adequately to the existing situation.
