Prerequisites (description): | The aim of the modular classes is to introduce students to problems of media education, which is analyzed from both the educational and socio-cultural perspectives. |

Short description: |
The increasing role of media in modern world affects the process of education and training, human functioning in the society, the processes of communication, and participation in culture. During each modular course, students will analyze variety of problems, which are resulting from the influence of media on a man, society and culture. Students will supplement theoretical knowledge with practical skills of how to use media during interships in media-art institutions. |

New technologies and the creative process 4 Intership in media-art institutions Topics: - Information society / media society / network society - Culture / identity / global communication / information flow in the media society/ Computer-mediated communication CMC - group intelligence / virtual community from Denizen to Netizen / cyber environment / digital exclusion - Cultural conditions of the media / cyberculture / interactivity / cybertext / consumer-creator-prosumer - Art in cyberculture - E-learning - Creativity as a cognitive process - solving problems – creative work in education - Exploring their own creative potential in creative problem-solving |
