Prerequisites (description):

The aim of the classes is to present selected concepts and methods used in Art Education and to present Art Education in a broader socio-cultural context.

Short description:

During the course we will present selected concepts and methods of art education. The analysis will cover specific educational projects in the field of art. Art education will be considered both in terms of strengthening the attitudes of conscious participation in culture, stimulating interest in art / culture, as well as a tool for critical reflection and discussion on issues of socio-cultural.

Full description:

Classes consist of two blocks: theoretical, during which the students will become familiar with selected concepts and methods of art education, for example: the method of narrative storytelling, methods derived from art-based research, the situation of creative, interactive methods based on the TPR (total physical response ), ethnographic methods, recycling art etc. The second block consists of classes in selected cultural institutions and participation in workshops organized there/ educational activities.

Due to the organization of part-time studies, the second block is reduced to workshop activities during the classes in the building of our department.
