Short description:

Objectives. Transfer of knowledge of human individual development and the biological, psychological and social needs at each stage of development. Help students to understand relationship between phylogenetic and individual human development. Raise students awareness about the relationship between the satisfaction of human needs in different periods of human life and his physical and psychosocial functioning.

Content. The development of human pedigree: morphological and functional changes in different parts of the human body . Preconceive care and its importance to the health of the future child. Prenatal development-including the morphological and functional changes in each cell, organ and system. Postnatal development - characteristics of biological changes. The relationship between human biological needs at different stages of life and his health an l development or learn.

Objectives:

1. Provide knowledge about human development concerning

• the development of certain systems, organs, anatomical and functional structures in different periods of life, and the relationship with their current abilities and needs

• the consequences of failure to satisfy the biological needs of man on his health and functioning in all spheres of life

2. Help students to acquire competencies necessary to:

• identify their own problems and developmental and health needs during early adulthood period,

• understanding of the biological needs at various stages of life,

• understanding of the relationship between human biological needs at different times of his life and psychosocial health, including functioning in family and school

Content

Phylogenetic development of the human being and its determinants. Preconceive care and its objectives, tasks, limitations. Prenatal development of man. The share of internal and external factors in the emergence of developmental disorders. Characteristics of the periods, the child's needs during this period. Physiological reflexes of a newborn and an infant and sensory integration. Sexual characteristics, the stages of puberty for girls and boys, and their needs during this period. Changes in each system, organ and anatomical structure.

Learning outcomes:

Learning outcomes – student:

I. In terms of knowledge:

1. Has a basic understanding of the relationship between satisfying the specific biological, psychological and social needs and the human biological development

2. Has a basic understanding of the anatomical and physiological changes occurring during physical, motor and psychosocial development at various stages of children, young people, adults and elders life.

II. In terms of skills:

1. Can explain the relationship between the functioning of the various systems, organs and the period of human development. He can use this knowledge to better understand the needs of children, young people, adults and the elderly.

2. Understands the changes that have occurred at various times in his life, and identify his own needs at the current stage of development; understands that there may be consequences if they are unsatisfied; can plan how to satisfy them.

3. Is able to plan work with people of all ages with respect to their current needs and skills.

III. In terms of social competences:

1. Understands that the teacher should have knowledge of human development at various stages of life with particular emphasis on the factors that influence the behavior and learning

2. Is aware that lack of satisfaction of the biological needs of man has an impact on various aspects of his development and health.

3. Is aware that early detection of abnormalities in human development and implementation of preventive measures can have a significant impact on improving the quality of life of children, young people and adults.

Credit obtain a student who:

- Leave no more than 1 classes or credit absences

- Took part in the project and received a positive evaluation during his

presentation.
