Aims, objectives, and functions of cultural education. The popularization of culture. Participation in culture and the cultural offer. The elvel of cultural education. The diagnosis of cultural needs. The process of cultural education and the idea of permanent education. Cultural education and technological and economic changes. Popular culture as a new context for cultural education. Contemporary controversies around cultural education from the point of view of critical pedagogy (eg. cultural reproduction) or postmodernist pedagogy (eg. the problem of the cannon).

Learning outcomes:

KNOWLEDGE

1. Student obtains knowledge about pedagogy as a humanistic science.

2. Student knows what is the problem of self-knowledge of the humanities.

3. Student knows what is the relationship between the humanities and philosophy and the humanities and culture.

4. Student has an orderly knowledge of the cultural conditioning of educational processes.

5. Student has basic knowledge about the objectives of the tasks, functions and forms of cultural education; He knows the rules of disseminating culture.

1.Student has the ability to observe and process cultural and social information and interpret them from the point of view of educational problems.

2. Student can independently develop the knowledge gained during the classes and creatively inspire other participants in the educational activities.

3.Student is able to analyze and describe the mechanisms of culture, to perceive pedagogical problems in relation to cultural changes and try to solve them.

4. Student is able to carry out a basic diagnosis of cultural needs and the level of cultural education.

5. student carries out a critical analysis of the various manifestations and forms of contemporary culture as an educational environment.

Attitudes:

1. Student is aware of the responsibility for preserving the cultural heritage and cultural codes as part of intergenerational communication.

2. Student is aware of the importance of culture in educational activities and shaping of a man.

3.Student is aware of the importance of the process of cultural education in relation to the idea of permanent education.

4. Student knows how to work in a group and respect other people's opinions (in discussions).

5. The student has deep knowledge of the level of his knowledge and skills, understands the need for continuous personal and professional development.
