Learning outcomes:

Knowledge:

- Know the main outcomes of the ELLIE research project

- Are familiar with the factors influencing the effectiveness of the teaching of foreign languages in primary schools in selected European countries

- Know Bloom’s taxonomy of learning objectives

- Know a variety of techniques suitable for children at pre-primary and lower primary level to develop thinking and language skills

- Are aware of the benefits of international projects and are familiar with sample eTwinning projects

- Know how to implement educational technology to enhance the teaching/learning process

Skills:

- Put Bloom’s taxonomy into practice in the kindergarten/primary classroom

- Test, evaluate and design teaching materials for various age groups to develop thinking and language skills

- Analyze selected eTwinning projects carried out in the age group 3-10 years

- Select and discuss innovative projects awarded European Language Label

- Add digital technology to improve the effectiveness of the teaching process

- Review scientific research articles on course-related themes

Social competences:

- Are aware of the need for continuing professional development

- Reflect on the teaching process while analyzing sample activities/lessons/projects from selected European countries

- Evaluate the usefulness of innovative initiatives in teaching English to young learners

- Are open towards cooperation with and learning from other language teachers

- Are prepared to collaborate with teachers from other European countries while participating in the eTwinning programme

1. Voice review of a scientific research article

2. Presentation of 2 projects: eTwinning and ELL

3. End-of-course test (online)
