Prerequisites (description):

The aim of the classes is to prepare students to conduct art classes, based on the insightful knowledge of child art - the stages of children's drawing and creative development. An important skill that students will achieve will be designing artistic and artistic activities, supporting the creative development of children - developing individual styles of expression of students'experience.The implementation of the tasks includes: characteristics of basic means of artistic expression, analysis of important concepts from the field of visual arts, the issue of personal and social functions of art

- specificity of artistic creativity of children and youth, characteristics of developmental stages of this creativity, significance of artistic creativity for manual, perceptual, emotional and intellectual development of children and youth.Introducing students to the necessary knowledge about the language of artistic expression and visual shaping of the environment through their own creative experiences. During the classes there will be: theoretical and practical aspects of the concept of upbringing through art, creating opportunities not only for the multilateral development of expression, but also for creative activity as an individual experience.

During the classes there will be: elements of theory and practice of upbringing through art and creativity during students'; artistic activities, as well as visits to art galleries and museums, screenings of films about art, documentation of creative activities.

Short description:

Students will learn two methodological concepts of teaching plastic arts: pedagogy of form and expression, and plots, which are a form of realization of these concepts.The programme of classes includes theoretical and practical aspects of the concept of upbringing through art, but it is an open system, understood as a field of possibilities, creates opportunities not only for the multilateral development of expression, but also for creative activity as an individual experience.

Presentation of theoretical and practical aspects of plastic arts teaching, including the pedagogy of form and expression.

The main tasks are

a/acquire the skills to develop the creative activity of children and young people;prepare students to perform the function of art mandates by acquiring knowledge in the field of ancient and contemporary art and psychological regularities of creative thinking

c/acquiring skills to inspire the creativity of children and young people, taking into account the issues of folk art, especially in the perspective of the ritual year characteristic of Polish traditions

d/; creative activities of students: acquiring artistic skills in the field of ceramics and sculpture, painting, graphic, spatial composition -with paper, drawing and others, as a form of workshop preparation of an art teacher.Getting to know the core curriculum of plastic arts teaching in primary and secondary schools.Professional preparation for conducting art classes IV-VI of primary and secondary school.

Learning outcomes:

Students are able to present artistic activities with children and young people characteristic for the pedagogy of form, as well as the pedagogy of expression. They can explain the concept of a formula created by Arno Stern and present the stages of a child's drawing development according to V. Lowenfeld and artistic development in the context of the child's creative activity in the context of R. Gloton and C. Clero. Students know the basics of the development of creative thinking from the point of view of humanistic psychologists, can diagnose the manifestations of creative thinking using the test of creative thinking according to E. P. Guilford.

Degree of activity in classes

Degree of substantive and methodical correctness of independently developed scenarios of art classes ,working with the method of projects in the field of visual arts, integration of music and visual arts in the process of shaping the aesthetic culture of students as the realization of one of the projects

Preparation of a multimedia presentation on children's art and issues discussed during classes and in the literature of the subject.

Performing artistic works on the surface and in space during classes, getting acquainted with various art techniques.The student may miss 2 classes, credit for the grade.
