  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Prerequisites (description):

(in Polish) Nie ma wymagań odnośnie wstępnej wiedzy (tj. dotychczasowych przedmiotów) u studentów podejmujących zajęcia, a jedynie zainteresowania w./wym. problematyką.

Short description:

The course (undergraduate thesis seminar) focuses on the impact of IT technologies on business organisations (enterprises), business processes and market structures. Special attention has been paid to electronic markets and e-finance systems.

Full description:

1. Modern information technologies (IT) in business applications. 2. Information and computer systems applications in different business processes and business objects: industry, frade and services, administration, banking industry, exchanges, post offices, etc. 3. Crowdfunding.

4. Crowdsourcing in enterprises. 5. IT in banking and finance. Alternative financial markets. 6. Tradictional and electronic auctions. 7. Management of business organisations, incl. IT-based. Integrated Management Information Systems (eg. MRP, ERP CRM, PRM, SCM). 8. The economics of Internet. 9. Electronic markets – trade and services, industry, facilities, tourism, education, etc. 10. IT in public administration. The concept of electronic government. 11. Information and knowledge-based societies. Management of information and knowledge in the enterprise. 12. Sharing economy.

Bibliography:

Required and suggested literature will be announced by the instructor following the students interests ans needs.

Learning outcomes:

The course increases competency of participants on labour market, gives theoretical and practical background in methods of information management in national economy.

Knowledge:

Upon completion of the course a student knows basic modern IT applications and implications in the economy.

Skills:

Upon completion of the course a student is able to discuss arguments in favor and against the importance of modern IT applications.

Social competences:

The course enriches student`s theoretical knowledge and boosts their analytical and scientific competences.
