  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description:

The course aims at familiarizing the students with problems and dilemmas of a neuropsychologist working with young patients and their families as well as with brain diseases specific for developmental age.

Learning outcomes:

− Awareness of the specificity of working with young patients and their parents

− Knowledge about the most common brain anomalies in children

− Curiosity and receptiveness to different possibilities in diagnostic process

Full description:

Focused on practical approach to paediatric neuropsychology, the course

aims at presenting the contrast between typical and atypical brain delelopment. During the classes we will discuss examples of both - neurological disorders specific for developmental age and their consequences as well as developmental disorders and how they affect the child and their family. While the patients, their medical and psychological issues are the main focus of the class, we will also consider problems and

dilemmas of a neuropsychologist working with young patients and their families.
