Short description:

During this course, the students will have the opportunity to experience hands-on psychodynamic and interpersonal training and take advantage of various exercises rooted in body psychotherapy.

Full description:

The main goal of the training for the participants is to dive into their self-experience in psychodynamic modality.

The basic idea is to sit in a circle and talk with each other having the lead of the instructor. The leader will underline the “here and now” perspective in forming relationships through these exchanges.

There is an ongoing possibility to engage, discuss and express emotions, thoughts, and observations connected to what’s happening.

This group experience offers some solo exercises, some in pairs connected to body psychotherapy as enriching elements of expanding one’s self-awareness.

This course has a different dynamic than the regular seminar or lecture course. During the sessions, the participants may share some personal and sensitive information. It is, therefore, crucial and obligatory to respect the confidentiality rule. Specifically, one can’t disclose any personal information or matters of other group members.

Learning outcomes:

In the hands-on group experience, the participants will better understand their ongoing inner conflicts and challenges relating to others. A safe ground is provided to express whatever appears to be connected to the process.

2. The students will be better oriented in the psychodynamic group approach and how it works empirically.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

1. Attendance - obligatory

2. Engagement - is based on each student's activity in the group. Students are encouraged to share their feelings and thoughts about themselves and the other participants or the leader.

3. Writing a paper of 2000-2500 marks per page on this specific experience and the personal understanding of what was going on.
