ECTS credit allocation (and other scores):	2.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles: the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS; the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h; 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes; weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS; work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Prerequisites (description):	1 / Completed 1st year of studies 2 / Preliminary internship is unpaid (volunteering) and cannot be carried out in a permanent workplace. 3 / Before starting the internship, the student is obliged to: a) get acquainted with the rules of internship, in particular with the conditions for completing the internship, b) agree on the program and conditions of internship with the tutor in the Institution, in accordance with the 7 goals of student internships, c) obtain approval of the program and the term of the internship from the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs.
Short description:	Preliminary internship - is addressed to students of the 2nd and the 3rd years of studies - lasts at least 50 hours - enables to achieve at least 4 of the 7 goals stated in the regulations of student internships - it consists of the implementation of the internship rules in accordance with the program by the institution organizing the internship (in accordance with the regulations of student’s internships) - is a voluntary service
Full description:	(in Polish) Funkcja: kształcenie podstawowych umiejętności psychologicznych; wstępna orientacja w potencjalnych ścieżkach rozwoju zawodowego. Ustala się następujące formy organizacji praktyk wstępnych: a) Praktyka indywidualna – student inicjuje podpisanie porozumienia z Instytucją, a Wydział sprawuje nadzór merytoryczny i organizacyjny nad przebiegiem praktyki, b) Praktyka zorganizowana – student korzysta z przygotowanej przez Wydział Psychologii lub przez działające na Uniwersytecie Biuro Zawodowej Promocji Absolwentów (BZPA) oferty praktyk wynikającej z zawartych umów długoterminowych, c) W ramach zorganizowanej przez uczelnię działalności na rzecz Uniwersytetu i poza nim, pozwalającej osiągnąć cele praktyki zgodnie z programem nauczania na studiach organizowanych przez Wydział Psychologii UW, m.in.: realizacja projektów w ramach działalności kół naukowych, udział w realizacji prac naukowo-badawczych, udział w zleconych Uniwersytetowi projektach, np. wdrożeniowych, organizowanie spotkań z młodzieżą szkół średnich, udział w akcjach promujących Uniwersytet, organizacja życia naukowego Uniwersytetu. Warunkiem rozpoczęcia praktyki jest podpisanie porozumienia pomiędzy Wydziałem Psychologii i Instytucją organizującą praktykę przed jej rozpoczęciem. Przed rozpoczęciem praktyki student jest zobowiązany: a) zapoznać się z zasadami odbywania praktyki, a w szczególności z warunkami zaliczenia praktyki, b) uzgodnić program i warunki odbywania praktyki z opiekunem w Instytucji zgodnym z 7 wymiarami praktyk studenckich, c) uzyskać akceptację programu i terminu praktyki u Prodziekana ds. Studenckich.
Learning outcomes:	The student fulfills at least 4 of the following 7 goals: KNOWLEDGE 1 / student will learn the organizational structure, principles of work organization and division of competences, procedures, work planning process, principles of control 2 / student will get to know the specificity of the professional environment, SKILLS 3 / student will develop specific professional skills related directly to the place of internship, 4 / student will develop the ability to communicate effectively in the organization, 5 / student will improve the skills of using a foreign language in professional situations. ATTITUDES 6 /student will improve the ability to organize their own work, teamwork, effective time management, diligence, sense of responsibility for the tasks entrusted to them, 7 /student will expand the knowledge acquired during the studies and develop the skills to use it

Short description:	(in Polish) Praktyka wstępna - jest adresowana do studentów lat 2 i 3 - trwa co najmniej 50 h - realizuje co najmniej 4 z 7 celów określonych w regulaminie praktyk studenckich - polega na realizacji praktyki zgodnie z ustalonym programem prze instytucje organizująca praktykę (zgodnie z regulaminem praktyk studenckich) - ma charakter wolontariatu
Full description:	Function: teaching basic psychological skills; initial orientation in potential paths of professional development. The forms of organizing the preliminary internship are: a) Individual internship - student initiates the signing of an agreement with the Institution, and the Faculty is responsible for substantive and organizational supervision over the course of the internship, b) Organized internship - student uses the offer of internships prepared by the Faculty of Psychology or by the Office for Vocational Promotion of Graduates (BZPA), resulting from the concluded long-term contracts, c) As part of the activities organized by the University for the University and beyond, enabling the achievement of the objectives of the internship in accordance with the curriculum at studies organized by the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Warsaw, including: implementation of projects as part of the activities of science clubs, participation in the implementation of research and development of the research projects, participation in projects commissioned by the University, e.g. implementation projects, organizing meetings with high school students, participation in campaigns promoting the University, organizing the University's scientific life. Students can do internships in: a) institutions of their own choice, in accordance with the profile of studies. Organizing an internship may also be a result of the student's initiative, in cooperation with organizational units of the University, but requires approval by the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs or the Internship Plenipotentiary, b) in foreign institutions (including European Union institutions) - internships may take place within the framework of European Union programs, foreign exchanges addressed to students, c) in institutions from the offer of internships, presented by the Internships plenipotentiary, heads of relevant specializations or an electronic database created by the Office for Professional Promotion of Graduates (BZPA) at the University.
