Prerequisites (description): | (in Polish) Warunki udziału w zajęciach zdalnych: Swobodny dostęp do Internetu oraz włączenie kamery i mikrofonu, co gwarantuje możliwość aktywnego udziału w zajęciach (kamera obowiązkowo powinna być włączona podczas całych zajęć; mikrofon podczas udzielania odpowiedzi, udziału w dyskusji). Brak możliwości aktywnego udziału w zajęciach będzie traktowany jako nieobecność na zajęciach. |
Short description: |
The aim of "Health Psychology" block of classes (30h lecture and 15h seminar) is to discuss the basic issues in the field of health psychology and rehabilitation. This includes: - theoretical concepts, definitions and models of health, illness and disability, - the impact of psychosocial factors, particularly stress, on healthy functioning of the individual as well as adaptation and coping with illness and disability, - the functioning of a professional psychologist in the healthcare system, as well as in other areas of social life where knowledge of health psychology is useful, - the psychological aspects regarding the situation of illness and various types of disabilities. The classes will also serve to develop competences and skills related to the creation and evaluation of programs in the field of prevention and health promotion. |
Learning outcomes: |
Knowledge: The student has knowledge about the methods of definition, theoretical concepts and models of health, illness and disability. The student has knowledge about the impact of psychosocial factors (including stress) on human health. Is able to indicate mechanisms conditioning adaptation to illness or disability. (K_W04, K_W08, K_W09, K_W10, K_W11) The student has knowledge about psychological, social and cultural factors conditioning human functioning in a situation of illness or disability. (K_W08, K_W09, K_W10, K_W11) The student knows the areas of application of psychology in medicine, health promotion and broadly understood rehabilitation, as well as contemporary directions of scientific research in this field. (K_W01) The student knows the directions and methods of scientific research conducted in the field of health psychology and rehabilitation. (K_W12) Skills: The student has the ability to analyze and plan scientific research according to modern standards in the field of health psychology and rehabilitation, as well as in accordance with the principles of ethics. (K_U03, K_U04, K_U05, K_U07) The student understands the relationship between having psychological knowledge, and the effectiveness of the process of communication and cooperation with an ill patient or a person with a disability. (K_U01) Competences: The student recognizes the need for an individual approach in diagnosing the situation of ill and disabled people. The student is able to plan activities that promote a healthy lifestyle, shape a positive and complex image of people with disabilities, and to plan a scientific evaluation of the effects of activities undertaken in this area. (K_K03) The student is aware of the need to apply ethical and methodological standards at scientific research and popularizing of scientific knowledge. |

(in Polish) Wykład: Celem zajęć realizowanych w ramach bloku „Psychologia zdrowia” (wykład 30h i seminarium 15h) jest omówienie podstawowych zagadnień z zakresu psychologii zdrowia i rehabilitacji, w tym: - koncepcji teoretycznych, definicji i modeli zdrowia, choroby oraz niepełnosprawności, - wpływu czynników psychospołecznych, w tym zwłaszcza stresu, na prozdrowotne funkcjonowanie człowieka oraz przystosowanie i radzenie sobie w sytuacji choroby i niepełnosprawności, - funkcjonowania zawodowego psychologa w systemie opieki zdrowotnej i zasad współdziałania z innymi profesjonalistami, (lekarzami, fizjoterapeutami itd.), a także w innych obszarach życia społecznego, w których przydatna jest wiedza z zakresu psychologii zdrowia (np. promocja zdrowia w systemie oświaty; działania prewencji i promocji zdrowia podejmowane przez pracodawców, samorząd terytorialny i inne instytucje oraz organizacje pozarządowe), - sytuacji psychologicznej osób chorujących somatycznie i osób z różnymi rodzajami niepełnosprawności. Przedstawiona zostanie sytuacja psychologiczna osób chorujących somatycznie (w tym przewlekle) i osób z różnymi rodzajami niepełnosprawności. Zajęcia będą służyć również rozwijaniu kompetencji i umiejętności związanych z tworzeniem oraz ewaluacją programów w zakresie profilaktyki i promocji zdrowia. Seminarium: Zajęcia są uzupełnieniem treści wykładu. Ich celem jest zapoznanie studentów z obszarami badań w zakresie psychologii zdrowia i rehabilitacji, rozwijaniem umiejętności krytycznej analizy wyników i wniosków płynących z tych badań a także wskazanie możliwości wykorzystania ich w planowaniu i projektowaniu oraz ewaluacji działaniach psychoprofilaktycznych. |
