ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Prerequisites (description):

Obligatory lecture for students of specialization Psychology of organization and work as well as Supporting personality development on the 4th year of study (1 year of specialization)

Short description:

Various diagnosis methods (standard, free, simulation) and their application to organizational problems (recruitment, assessment, knowledge need, etc.) will be discussed.

Learning outcomes:

Knowledge:

The student after completing the course knows the basic methods and tools of professional diagnosis and how to plan the procedure, make decisions and make a diagnosis

Attitudes:

The student after completing the course evaluates the acquired knowledge, maintaining an understanding and sensitive attitude to the good of the individual.

Skills:

The student after completing the course uses the acquired knowledge to conduct diagnostic procedures in a specific organization.

1. Evidence - based practice and application to diagnosis problems

2. Diagnosis techniques: differentiation, methods of testing, the concept of predictor and criterion, techniques used in periodic assessment of employees and in selection

3. Description of duties and job description - goals and methods, formulation

4. Competency models, periodic employee evaluation; assessment of effects and assessment of behavior, diagnosis as a development tool, evaluation of training processes

5. Diagnosis methods - abilities and general intelligence, work knowledge tests

6. Diagnosis methods - personality and temperament, professional interests

7. Diagnosis methods - interview: preparation, types of questions,
