We will discuss and interpret the behavior of dogs and their caregivers, based on video materials from behavioral consultations. Videos illustrating the behavior of dogs towards other dogs and people will be presented and the students will be asked to interpret behaviors. Their hypotheses will be discussed and then verified by watching subsequent materials. The films will be supplemented with basic information about dogs - age, gender, health, social conditions, behavioral problems. We will discuss: - Emotions present in a given situation. - Triggers that trigger certain behaviors. - The intentions of the dog/dogs and people. - Existing conflicts and ways to solve them. - Decisions on the type of effective intervention or lack of it. - Possible changes, mistakes, ways to help the dog and the caregiver. |
