Short description: |
The aim of this course is to present the students withthe basic concepts used to describe, classify and explain the sources and causes of animal behavior. According to the paradigm of ethology, the adaptive aspect of behavior will be emphasized.. Relations between animal and human behavior will be indicated, both at the structural and functional level. |
Learning outcomes: |
(in Polish) W zakresie wiedzy: Po ukończeniu kursu student: - definiuje elementarne składniki zachowania - rozumie różnicę między działaniami popędowymi i odruchami -identyfikuje poziomy wyjaśniania przyczyn zachowania - wyjaśnia mechanizm ewolucji zachowania - wymienia i opisuje kategorie procesów uczenia się i myślenia. W zakresie umiejętności: Po zakończeniu kursu student: - odróżnia opis zachowania od jego interpretacji - analizuje zachowanie w naukowej konwencji etologii - krytycznie analizuje teksty oraz przekaz słowny nt. zachowania zwierząt - polemizuje ze „zdroworozsądkowymi” wyjaśnieniami zachowania. W zakresie kompetencji społecznych: Po zakończeniu kursu student: - rozumie konieczność ciągłego uczenia się i uaktualniania posiadanej wiedzy |
