ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 1.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description:

During the class students play business game requiring resource optimization, strategic and tactical planning as well as financial and human resource management.

The game requires from the students to be proficient in the topics from previous semester, with a special emphazis on: introduction to management, finances, psychology, strategic management and marketing.

After the initial module dedicated to familiarize paticipants with the game, students play in teams. After every round there is a summarizing discussion and a roundup of plans for the next rounds. If needed terms from abovementioned areas are being discussed and explained.

At the conlusion of the class a debriefing session is conducted with a summary of the results and factors influencing specific outcomes.

Every students writes an essay on the topic suggested by the lecturer.
