  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

Short description:

The course is aimed at participants who are starting to work with Excel and want to learn the basics of creating and working with spreadsheets. Classes are based on mini-lectures and practical exercises. The emphasis is on the correct design of spreadsheets that support business decision making using data analysis. The knowledge passed on during the course is aimed at its practical application in professional work. During the course, users learn keyboard shortcuts that increase the efficiency of work performed in Excel.

- sheet events,

- entering and editing data,

- selecting, copying, data cutting,

- cell formatting,

- row and column formatting,

- formulas in Excel,

- references in Excel,

- functions in Excel,

- data analysis,

- pivot tables,

- diagrams,

- data filtering,

- sheet protection.

As part of the course, participants receive a set of course materials with solutions.

Learning outcomes:

Thanks to the course, participants will:

- efficiently operate the Excel interface,

- enter, load, edit and format source data,

- prepare simple analyses in tabular form,

- conduct basic calculations using formulas and functions.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

The final grade consists of:

- homework for 10 points (final design using the presented tools),

- activity during classes.
