ECTS credit allocation (and other scores):	3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles: the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS; the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h; 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes; weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS; work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Full description:	Introduction to design and realisation of a research project focused on information needs and practices in regard of culture, and cultural institutions and resources in particular. Definition of cultural practices and cultural participation. Research methods in regard of information needs and practices in culture. Information literacy as a cultural literacy.

Learning outcomes:	A student: - knows theoretical background and some examples of research on cultural practices, as well as information needs and practices in the area of culture (K_W01, K_W07), - knows the characteristics of culture as a human activity sector (K_W06), - can develop and realise a research project concerning information needs and practices within the area of culture (K_U01 K_U03, K_K01, K_K02), - work individually and in a project team (K_U08, K_U09, _K_K04).
