  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;

Short description:

Learning to shoot in a studio environment, using the flash, modeling light and lighting fixtures, colorful backdrops.

Full description:

Advertising photography - are subjects addressed to third-year students of the first-cycle program. Adepts learn individual and team work in a professional photographic studio. Using photographic lamps and measuring devices, they perform tasks such as:

– making commercial photos in the photo atelier (including cyklorama and shadowless table):

– arrangement and implementation of the set.

– framing taking into account the nature of the advertised item.

– selection of light modifiers to create a multi-faceted composition.

– The right choice of colored backgrounds ..

Students' work is corrected on a regular basis. They also receive professional help when processing photos in Photoshop ..

Learning outcomes:

After completing the course student:

KNOWLEDGE

• is able to use appropriate photographic equipment depending on the pictures specifics.

• knows how to select the appropriate footage.

• knows the rules for the selection of colorful backgrounds for advertised product.

SKILLS

 student acquires the equipment skills, knows abput studio lighting.

 is capable of shooting with professional digital cameras.

 knows how to handle analog camera and large format cameras.

 Is capable of using measuring devices to choose appropriate parameters, photosensitive materials and exposure of digital matrices.

 is able to properly compose and light the advertising photos.

 knows how to take pictures on the table and the background and in widescreen studio.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

During the exercises the substantive and technical correction of the works takes place. It mainly concerns the proper setting of the frame and lighting of the composition. "Processed" works in the Adobe Photoshop program are submitted for evaluation within the prescribed period.
