ECTS credit allocation (and other scores):	1.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles: the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS; the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h; 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes; weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS; work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Prerequisites (description):	Dedicated to postgraduate students of library science. The student has basic knowledge about the functions of various types of libraries. The student communicates in Polish in speech and writing.

Short description:	Classes are devoted to organizing and improving the flow of information in the library. Students learn methods of effective management of information resources library, the creation and operation of a modern workshop information and provide information services targeted at different categories of users.
Full description:	The following issues will be addressed: - legal tasks of libraries in the field of information activities - from documentation to information science - library processes - information flow in library processes - integrated library system - computerization of libraries - library cooperation in the field of information activities - modern information services - ethical issues related to information activities - information services for users with special needs / in a difficult situation
