Subject shows the public library for children and youth in the context of the overall organization of public libraries in Poland and in the world. These are the functions and working methods of its kind their characteristics with regard to tradition and modernity. |
Full description: |
Subject represents public libraries for children and young people, their characteristics, what distinguishes them from other libraries. These functions are libraries, the organization of work with special attention to the selection of books and classification, methods of work with the reader. Students become familiar with the tradition of public libraries for children and their modernity both in Poland and in the world. Presented are selected legal acts concerning the organization of libraries and guidelines, mainly IFLA. Indifferent to the general context of the functioning of public libraries. |

The listener will acquire basic knowledge about the network of libraries in Poland and in the world on the organization and library management with particular emphasis on the specifics of libraries for children and young people. |
