ECTS credit allocation (and other scores):	2.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles: the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS; the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h; 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes; weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS; work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load. view allocation of credits

Short description:	Subject shows the public library for children and youth in the context of the overall organization of public libraries in Poland and in the world. These are the functions and working methods of its kind their characteristics with regard to tradition and modernity.
Full description:	Subject represents public libraries for children and young people, their characteristics, what distinguishes them from other libraries. These functions are libraries, the organization of work with special attention to the selection of books and classification, methods of work with the reader. Students become familiar with the tradition of public libraries for children and their modernity both in Poland and in the world. Presented are selected legal acts concerning the organization of libraries and guidelines, mainly IFLA. Indifferent to the general context of the functioning of public libraries.
