Short description:	Assyrian reliefs - the most popularly recognised group of monuments of the Ancient Near East - shall be presented, with an invitation to further discussion, in their historical (Assyrian expansion) and geographical/topographical contexts ("motherland" and provincial buildings, stelae and rock reliefs). Several interpretations may be proposed, these "classical" ones (styles and iconographic conventions), multi-sensoric and emotional approaches not excluded.

Learning outcomes:	(in Polish) Poszerzona wiedza n/t rodzajów/zabytków asyryjskiej reliefistyki, ich tematyki i stylów, topografii - oryginalna lokalizacja zespołów i aktualne, muzealne rozmieszczenie zbiorów. Rozeznanie w możliwościach interpretacji ikonograficznej i ikonologicznej przedstawień - własne próby w tym zakresie.
