Polish Language Course – Advanced Level |
Full description: |
Language class for students who know Polish at the advanced level. All the language skills and competencies such as listening, reading, vocabulary, grammar, speaking, and writing will be practiced and developed during classes. The course also includes knowledge about Polish culture. Vocabulary and Discussion Topics: 1. Interpersonal Communication. 2. Family. 3. Society. 4. Emotions, Feelings, Senses. 5. Holidays and traditions. 6. Traveling. 7. Cultural diffrences. Selected Grammar Issues from among: 1. Declension of Irregular Nouns. 2. Case Government of Verbs and Adjectives. 3. Multi-word Lexical Units. 4. Prefix Verbs. 5. Adjectival and Adverbial Participles (Review). 6. Conditional Mood and Conditional Sentences (Review). 7. Passive Voice (Review). 8. Word Formations (Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives). 9. Relative Clauses. 10. Idioms. |

Learning outcomes: |
After attending the course, a student understands a wide range of demanding, longer clauses and recognizes implicit meaning. She/he expresses ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. She/he can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes and produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors, and cohesive devices. |
