The starting point for considering the directions of literary development, its reception and forms of response to the socio-political changes taking place in independent Lithuania will be the work of Ričardas Gavelis, author of the "landmark novels": "Vilnius Poker" and "Memoirs of a Young Man." During the following classes, students will gradually familiarize themselves with the works of the most significant prose writers of the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries.
