This introductory course to music aesthetics focuses on the modern era, which is preceded by an overview of the thought on music in earlier times. The aesthetic area of the last half-century, connected with the reflection around new music, is included as well. The lecture is based mainly on the "History of musical aesthetics" by Enrico Fubini.
